may day dew

I didn't notice it until I was racing into the sun, speeding from the first lek of the morning to the second.

Dew.

A tiny droplet of water on every blade of grass. Lighting my way through the sage.

Of course, there was no time for photos then, other than what I could grab through the windshield as I bounced along.

By the time I reached the fourth, and empty lek, and had time for photographs, most of the dew was gone. Only place you could find any condensation left was in the shadows of sage.

Little round lenses, gathering the sun's rays and beaming them back out like diamonds.

And if you looked close...

Really, really close...

You could see the whole world again.
