catching frost Eldest son came home around ten (No, we don't know where he was for the previous ~24 hours, but that's common these days. And not a bad thing, either.) and asked, "Have you taken any pictures of the frost yet?" Ummm, no. What frost? Guess maybe I should peek my head out the window once in a while on these office work days. Sure enough, we've got frost. Not thick hoar frost, but pretty none the less. "You might as well get a shot of the rabbit in the garden, while you're at it," he added. Well, that's easier said than done, when you've got two heelers bounding along on your heels.
But the frost was nice, even without any direct sunlight.
When it came time to take the heelers on their lunchtime stroll/tug to the post office, I was surprised to find the sun shining. And even more surprised to find frost still on the trees.
The taller ones, anyway. Everything below had melted off already.
And frost on the high branches was shedding quickly, in large clumps.
Yeah, I caught a few on my tongue. Until the mayor happened to come walking by. |
