trip to the dump

You know, after so many years, I'd never noticed what a good view you get from the Dump Road. I'm sorry, I mean the "Landfill" Road, now officially named the "Shooting Range Road", I believe. But yesterday I just happened to take the camera along (along with the heelers), and paid attention to something other than the pronghorn-tight fences.

Like the view to the north...

Yes, you get similar views of this range farther north, but usually with a powerline or trailer in it.

Likewise for the mountain to the southeast. It's really hard to find a spot to view it without powerlines, railroad, or interstate.

And speaking of the railroad...

If some of you on the West Coast found it a little chilly lately, maybe it's because a mile+ long train of your coal spent the day sitting here:

Man, that's a lot of BTUs.
