The wife came into the office at bedtime, and noticed the screen open to the outfit's email system.
"You get the email I forwarded to you today?"
Uhhh, no. So I change mailboxes, and there it is. A copy of an announcement from her administration to the employees in her office.
"Recognition of the National Day of Mourning for President Gerald Ford will take place during inauguration activities on Tuesday, January 2nd. ... offices will remain open during the Day of Mourning as well as during the inauguration events."
Yeah, so what? We got the same email, last Friday.
She tells me to look at the date.
The one from her admin people was sent out...
Today.

(She was also surprised to see I have 90 unread emails. Apparently she reads all of hers, every day. Hey, you can tell by the subject line that a lot of these don't need to be read. You just want to hand on to 'em, in case the subject comes up later.)
