Have I mentioned pronghorn are fully in the rut right now? With the bucks thinking about one thing, and one thing only.

Well, okay. There's that second thing they think about. Namely, keeping other bucks away from that one thing.

To the point of ignoring all other dangers that may arise. So as the does repeatedly, and repeatedly, tried to turn back and run away from the road (and me), there the buck was, racing ahead to herd them back again. Right towards me.

Made for good photo ops. But kinda stressful for the does.

As I suppose it is every year.
