pretty pictures Bonnie: on the previous Grouse Pic, the lights you see are the headlights of a train, entering the frame from the left. A train on the TransContinental Railroad, in fact. I'm having difficulty judging which images to use for some of these grousepics, because I can't tell what they will look like on other screens. On this laptop screen, that sunset image was clearly light enough to see the entire train engine and the first few cars. That's why I timed that shot exactly when I did. But checking on another computer, yep, all is dark with only the little specks of light from the headlights. Have all my images been too dark for you folks out there? And you like them anyway, huh? Would you like them as much if you saw them as I see them? And speaking of images... reporter from the local paper called with questions about sage grouse and hunting seasons. And mentioned "You haven't been sending us any of your pretty pictures lately." Uh, no. Barely have time to download them all, much less look at them, or crop them. (Took just under 300 shots during Tuesday's 66-minute flight.) But I sent her a couple from Tuesday's flight. We'll see if the editor has been missing me and my pictures as much as her. And, because it's here, another shot of Wednesday's sunset on check station. Now, someone remind me to order roses first thing tomorrow morning... |
