a loss of convenience You know, it's weird now. You put a dirty dish or bowl in the kitchen sink, come back an hour later, and it's still dirty. You want something to soak, you gotta turn the water on, and stand there waiting for it to fill. No more just sliding something in the sink and "Bam!", an hour later it's 90 percent clean, just waiting for a swipe with a soapy dishrag. Having ever-running hot water was mighty convenient, once you don't have it any more. Wife also commented how strange it was to go into a quiet kitchen. Might have to buy one of those burbling water fountains... |
