hurried end to a long day Long day, lotsa miles. And no blizzard. No a drop, not a flake. (Well, okay, a few shimmery things in the air, but nothing that stuck to the ground.) Interstate closed between us and University Town, tons of white stuff there, semis reaching our warm air and shaking themselves dry as they barreled down our dry asphalt. As I explained the snow falling off semis to the boss this evening, (in the town where they got over 15" of snow and an inch of moisture yet it was all melted and gone by the time I got there) and that I spent the morning driving on roads where the dust was an inch deep (literally), his disappointed response... "So that was all the moisture you got, the snow falling off the trucks?" Yup. And now, before the power decides to go 'blip' again (midway through a response to you (don't worry, nothing important...)), I'm going to bed. To sleep, perchance to dream... |
