evening news

Well, let's see.

The masked heeler is here. All depressed and worried. You see, she's naked.

The wife and eldest son are replacing the vital information scrolls in the sisters' nitroglycerine cylinders, so their collars are off. Which bothers them no end, being both naked and silent (it even bothers them when they get new tags each year, and sound different).

Asked the wife about the little red car.

Youngest son is driving it right now. All it was, was water in the distributor. Mechanic checked the transmission fluid and oil for water, and found none. Test drove the car from their town to ours, and back, with no problems.

Net cost for this little affair?

0$.

As in nothing. Mechanic said he spent more time on the test drive than he did on actually checking anything. Did not think we were being unusually cautious, however, to have it checked out. But didn't feel it was worth the effort to charge us for anything.

Personally, I think he and his son got such a kick out of the story, they felt they had already been paid.

His response to youngest son this morning, when told how the car came to be parked at his shop?

"If you're gonna do that sort of stuff, you'd better get a snorkel."

Which is exactly what the wife told the redheaded son.

Oh, and Lio, I tried to ask her about "teabagging", but eldest son was there. I'll see what she says later.

This is old news, but I forgot to mention it here.

Several weeks ago, the wife came to bed chuckling to herself. Seems youngest son had insisted she come listen to this new mp3 he got from her godson. Of this just wonderful song.

She said she recognized it in three notes.

The Highwayman by Loreena McKennitt.

Guess he was a little disheartened to find she already knew about this modern masterpiece.

And even more distressed to find his Dad had the album, and was quite taken with the song as well.

And I now have my first mp3, courtesy of youngest son. (Well, actually my second, which he also found and downloaded for me, but I've lost the first and cannot remember what it was... of yeah, a Medieval Baebes song. Which means it's not lost, just deleted because I bought the cd...)Anyway, since so many others mention what they're listening to, I will do the same.

It's Go to Sleep Little Baby from the movie Oh Brother, Where Art Thou. One of the most erotic scenes I've seen in a long time (and of course it helps they're all three brunettes).
