One of the side benefits of having a state-wide wingbee is getting caught up on the gossip and news from across the state.

Two of the guys at the meeting couldn't wait to share their news with me.

Seems one of the number two bosses in the outfit and his wife spotted a black wolf while elk hunting.

Not really my part of the desert, being just a little west of an imaginary line on a map. A line I have ignored on many occassions, especially when checking strutting grounds.

The wolf was headed east.

Oh, wow.

I have a wolf!
