Been so busy the last couple months, numerous ideas came up that I wanted to preserve in an entry, but hadn't the time to write.

Can't think of a one, now.

Spent most of the day reading state plans for helping sage-grouse populations. Three different states. Some a lot better than others.

Also three lengthy hunter calls. The two nonresidents seemed quite surprised at the helpful information I was able to give them. Like they don't expect that where they live.

Glad we live here.

Wife came home pleased with herself. For two different reasons.

First, she and a co-worker took up "looping" on their break. Where they walk across their building, down three floors of stairs, through the building again, and back up three floors of stairs.

Five times. Briskly.

Good for her. I should be so ambitious. We need more stairs in our house.

And secondly, because the historical society, of which she is treasurer, had their meeting today. The one at which she surprised them with the donation of the Strand Theater ledgers we bought at auction.

Apparently quite a hit. They, as we, had a fun time reading through the old entries. And the local historian of the group noticed that one of the ledgers wasn't just the "books" for the old theater.

It included the costs of the actual building of the theater itself. I guess of value if the place ever gets properly restored.
