It was a first for me.

Well, sure, I knew what it was. Even from over a mile off.

Although I had to put the binocs on it to be sure.

And I've seen plenty of 'em around before. Mostly for tourists. Even been in one or two.

But this one was just across the trail from my first strutting ground of the morning.

A first.

Got someplace I've gotta be at nine o'clock tomorrow morning. Actually, eight-thirty would be better. So you know what that means.

I get to sleep in!

First lazy morning since the 7th. Bed's been really hard to get out of the last few mornings. The wife's got her alarm set for 07:15.

The extra two and a half hours will be heaven.
