glowing heelers Okay, it's 0100 in the morning, and I'm sitting here dripping wet. Literally. Just spent four hours at the popcorn and pop concession stand for the BPOE Street Dance (it's fair week), and then an hour picking trash up off the street. The rain kindly waited until ten minutes before the end of the dance at midnight, and didn't really pour down until we got most of the cans, bottles and glass picked up. Guess I can sleep in tomorrow, and forget about heading out to classify antelope. Had to turn back this morning because of the mud, and tomorrow will be even worse. That's okay, we need the rain. Only got asked about the lion by three people tonight. Expected a lot more. Wife just came down and scared off my two-mile wide spider. She (the spider) was sneaking down Sage Creek on the map on my wall, and her leg span covered two miles. Now she's behind the computer desk somewhere (the spider, not the wife). But that isn't the entry tonight. This is. If you want to see something really fun and cool, buy a couple of those cheap glow-in-the-dark plastic necklaces. And put them on a pair of heelers and send them out in the yard at one o'clock in the morning. |
